ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis players competed at the ITA Central Region Championships Friday-Sunday at Washington University in St. Louis.
Friday's Highlights
Tytus Metzler, Ian Yi and Alex Cadigan each won their first two singles matches to advance to Saturday's Round of 32.
Metzler and Yi won their first two doubles matches to advance to Saturday's Round of 16.
After losing his opening singles match Henry Fuchs advanced to the third round of the backdraw.
Casey Johnson/Allen Vinson and Alex Cadigan/Henry Fuchs lost their first doubles matches before advancing to the third round of the backdraw.
Saturday's Results
Tytus Metzler defeated Alex Cadigan in the Round of 32 before falling to the No. 1 seed in the Round of 16.
Ian Yi won in the singles Round of 32 before falling to the No. 8 seed in the Round of 16.
Henry Fuchs lost in the third round of the singles backdraw.
Metzler/Yi lost in the Round of 16 in doubles.
Johnson/Vinson and Cadigan/Fuchs both lost in the quarterfinals of the doubles backdraw.
The tournament wrapped up Sunday.
