KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team lost 6-3 to Denison University inside the Markin Center on Sunday.
Kalamazoo entered the match ranked No. 24 in the nation while Denison was ranked No. 25.
The visiting Big Red took a 3-0 lead with a sweep of doubles, winning 8-6 at one, 8-4 at two, and 8-5 at three.
Ian Yi earned a 6-4, 6-4 win at one singles. Daniel Henry's 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 win at two singles made it a 4-2 contest in favor of Denison with the Big Red's win at four.
Denison clinched the match with a three-set win at three singles.
Casey Johnson won 6-4, ret. at five singles for Kalamazoo's third point.
Kalamazoo is off until spring break when the Hornets play the first of three matches in Georgia and Tennessee beginning March 24.
