Henry Named MIAA Player of the Week for Second Straight Week

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Daniel Henry of the Kalamazoo College men's tennis team was honored Monday afternoon as the MIAA Player of the Week for the second week in a row.

Henry, a junior from Kalamazoo, Mich. (Kalamazoo Central HS), won both of his singles matches this week against No. 12 Sewanee and No. 3 Emory while collecting an 8-7 win at No. 1 doubles with Ian Yi against Sewanee. 

Henry began his week in singles with a 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 win and went on to win 7-6, 4-6, 10-8 against two of the top ranked teams in the nation. The wins move Henry's singles wins total to 46 in his career and is 6-1 at No. 2 singles this season.

This marks the sixth time in his career that Henry has been named MIAA Player of the Week. Henry has also been named to the All-MIAA First Team twice. 

The Hornets return to play on Wednesday, April 3 when they host Calvin at 4 p.m.
