Men's Tennis Wins at Hope

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team won 8-1 at Hope College on Thursday.

The win moves Kalamazoo into sole possession of first place in the MIAA with a 5-0 league record while the Flying Dutchmen fall to second place with their first conference loss (5-1).

Kalamazoo led 2-1 after doubles. The Hornets proceeded to win all six singles matches in straight sets.

Ian Yi and Daniel Henry won 8-4 at one doubles while Tytus Metzler and Alex Cadigan won 8-5 at three.

Yi (1), Henry (2), Metzler (3), Allen Vinson (4), Casey Johnson (5), and Cadigan all won in singles. Johnson did not drop a game.

Kalamazoo returns home to face Albion on Saturday, April 20 at 1 p.m.
