Ian Yi was recognized with All-American honors following his first season at Kalamazoo College. Yi finished the 2018-19 campaign ranked No. 17 in the nation.
A freshman from Ann Arbor, Mich. (Pioneer HS), Yi finished 21-5 in singles following his appearance in the NCAA III Singles Championships in Kalamazoo. He earned MIAA MVP honors with a 7-0 league record, was named MIAA Player of the Week three times, and was named ITA Central Region Rookie of the Year.
Yi is Kalamazoo's first men's tennis All-American since Branden Metzler last earned the award in 2017.
