The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association released its softball All-Conference selections Thursday afternoon and Kalamazoo College's Erin DuRoss was named to the MIAA's First Team.

DuRoss, a junior from Onstead, Mich., did it all for the Hornets in 2016 serving as the team's top pitching option and also leading the team offensively.

On the rubber, she recorded a 2.67 earned run average in 128.2 innings of work. She notched the fifth-most punch outs in the league with 117 while also tossing 14 complete games, the second-most in the league.

DuRoss gave up one run or fewer in four separate starts for the Hornets.

At the plate, DuRoss led the Hornets in batting average (.355), runs batted in (26), home runs (2) and doubles (10). Her slugging percentage of .505 ranked in the top 25 of the conference.

2016 marks the first All-MIAA selection for DuRoss.
