CLERMONT, Fla. - The Kalamazoo College softball team picked up two wins on Tuesday after defeating Wisconsin-River Falls 8-5 in 11 innings and Middlebury 14-12.

Game 1

The Hornets and Falcons went back-and-forth in game one. A 3-3 tie at the end of the seventh inning took the game to extra innings where each team scored one run in the eighth and tenth to extend the contest. Kalamazoo's bats delivered a three-run 11th inning to cap off the game and secure a win.

Catcher Anna Majewski had two hits for Kalamazoo from the second spot in the lineup and drove in a game-high three runs.

Andrea MacMichael and Ashley Schiffer both picked up three hits while driving in a run. MacMichael also scored a pair of runs.

Keelin McManus started the game on the mound and pitched nine innings while only allowing two earned runs. McManus also struck out four Panther hitters.

Sammi Luzadre pitched the final two innings and earned the win for Kalamazoo.

Game 2

Middlebury got out to a 4-1 lead after two innings, but the Hornets responded with eight runs in the third and fourth to take a 9-6 lead into the fifth inning. After outscoring Middlebury 5-2 in the fifth and sixth innings, Kalamazoo secured a 14-12 win even after a four-run final frame for the Panthers.

Majewski drove in a team-high three runs on two hits including a triple.

Alyssa Heitkamp and Hayleigh Alamo each collected three hits and two RBI. Two of Heitkamp's hits were doubles.

Schiffer and Alaina Kirschman both added two hits and two RBI for Kalamazoo.
