KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Anna Majewski of the Kalamazoo College softball team was honored Tuesday as the Hornet of the Week by the Athletic Leadership Council.
Majewski, a junior from St. Clair Shores, Mich. (University Liggett HS), played a major role in Kalamazoo's 4-2 week by recording 10 hits in 23 at bats; good for a .435 batting average. Behind the plate, Majewski threw out three of six stolen base attempts to bring her season total to six runners caught stealing.
Twenty hits this season place Majewski second on the Hornets. She is tied for the lead in doubles with five and her 13 RBI are good for second on the team.
Last year in her sophomore season, Majewski led Kalamazoo in batting average, hits, and doubles. She was also in a tie for second on the team in RBI.
The Hornets play Tuesday afternoon at Alma before hosting Trine on Wednesday, April 10 at 3 p.m.
