Softball Falls at Hope

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College softball team lost both games of a doubleheader at Hope on Saturday.

Game One

Hope won the first game 13-9. Kalamazoo led 3-0 after the top of the second before Hope scored seven in the bottom half. Kalamazoo trailed 7-6 after after the top of the fourth, but fell behind 13-6 after six. The Hornets scored three in the top of the seventh before the game ended.

Andrea MacMichael led the Hornets with three hits including a triple. 

Hayleigh Alamo, Alyssa Heitkamp, and Sammi Luzadre each had two hits. 

Anna Majewski had three RBIs while Alamo and Luzadre each drove in two.

Game Two

Hope won the final game 17-3. The Flying Dutch led 3-1 after one and 6-3 after two before adding at least one run over each of the next three innings.

MacMichael led the Hornets with two hits and one RBI. 

Alamo and Majewski each tallied one hit and one RBI. 

Kalamazoo is currently scheduled to host Elmhurst in a doubleheader Sunday, April 28 at 1 p.m.
