Lizzy Rottenberk was named SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Women's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday. This is her second conescutive selection as Hornet of the Week.
A sophomore from Waterford, Mich. (Clarkston), Rottenberk hit .600 last week with 12 hits in five games. She had two doubles, eight RBIs and scored seven runs while going 3-for-3 on stolen bases. She had multiple hits in all five games last week including three in a game vs. Saint Mary's and three in a game against Calvin.
On the season, Rottenberk hit .384 overall with seven doubles, one triple, one home run and 23 RBIs. She stole 12 bases in 13 attempts.
The Hornet softball team finished the season with a win on Monday, ending with a record of 21-13 overall (8-8 MIAA) and setting school records for wins in a season and winning percentage (.618).
