ALLIANCE, OH - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 72-67 to Mount Union on the road Sunday afternoon. The Hornets fell back to .500 at 4-4 overall this season. The Purple Raiders also finished the day at 4-4, though their record doesn't reflect how good the team actually is. Earlier this season, Mount Union took the now 17th ranked Transylvania to triple overtime before losing 94-90. The Raiders also haven't lost a game by double-digits yet this season.

The Hornets allowed Mount Union to sink eight threes in the first half and were outrebounded by the Raiders 18-13. Both teams were hitting in the first half with the Hornets shooting 44 percent and the Raiders shooting 46. At the half Mount Union led Kalamazoo 42-35.

Querubin Dubois, Grace Smith, Kelsey Adamski, and Emily Lindsay all reached double figures in scoring for the Hornets. The four of them combined for 44 points on 15/37 shooting. Kalamazoo outperformed the Raiders in almost every statistical category except for one – three point shooting. Mount Union wound up making 11 three pointers which ultimately gave them the edge today.

Kalamazoo will look to get back above .500 Wednesday, Dec. 17 in conference matchup at home against Adrian.
