KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team fell to Hope College 98-55 Wednesday evening inside Anderson Athletic Center in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play.

Hope got off to a hot shooting start in the first quarter as the Dutch held a 27-10 lead after 10 minutes and managed to control the tempo of the game.

Emily Kozal looked to keep the Hornets on pace with the Dutch as she scored all of her 11 points in the first half of play but Hope, the first place team in the MIAA proved to be too much in the game's entirety.

Danielle Simon provided an all-around solid effort for K recording six points, seven assists and six rebounds. Mya Gough scored nine points for the Hornets off the bench.

The Hornets will look to bounce back this Saturday when they travel to Trine for a 1 p.m. tip in Angola, Ind.
