OLIVET, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team pulled out a tense MIAA victory on Saturday with a 58-56 win against Olivet on the road.

Kalamazoo trailed throughout the first half as it saw Olivet stretch a three point advantage after the first quarter to as many as 13 in the second period. Down by seven at halftime, the Hornets exploded for 19 points in the third quarter, highlighted by Eliza McCall's layup plus a foul to give the Hornets the lead with four minutes remaining in the quarter. A Georgie Andrews rebound and putback to close out the quarter put the Hornets up 42-35 going into the fourth.

K continued to lead in the fourth, but timely three point shooting by the Comets made it a one possession game with nine seconds remaining. A missed three by Olivet closed out the game and gave K the 58-56 victory.

Kalamazoo shot 32.8 percent from the floor in the contest, led by Isabelle Clark's 18 points. Emily Kozal had 12 points and eight rebounds. K got strong contributions from its bench with Alexis Dietz scoring six points and Georgie Andrews pulling down six rebounds.
