KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 75-39 to Adrian College on Saturday.
Adrian shot 55 percent in the first quarter while taking a 25-7 lead. Adrian outscored Kalamazoo 11-9 in the second quarter while Kalamazoo won the third quarter 19-18. The Bulldogs heated up again late and outscored the Hornets 21-4 in the fourth.
Adrian shot 45.3 percent overall while limiting Kalamazoo to 15.2 percent. Adrian held a 55-38 advantage in rebounds, although Kalamazoo held a 14-12 edge on the offensive end.
Georgie Andrews recorded her second career double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Her other double-double was earlier this season at Adrian.
Kaytlyn Tidey finished with 10 points while Sierra Fraser and Darby Scott each scored seven. Fraser also pulled down 11 rebounds with two blocked shots.
The Hornets return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 23 with a non-conference home game against Finlandia University at 6 p.m.
