KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Kaytlyn Tidey of the Kalamazoo College women's basketball team was named Hornet of the Week by the Athletic Leadership Council on Tuesday morning.
Tidey, a freshman from Lawrence, Mich. (Lawrence HS), broke the school record for three-pointers in a season in Kalamazoo's lone game of the week against Saint Mary's. The previoius school record was 53 and Tidey now has 56 with four games to play this season.
The freshman guard is now averaging 14.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game.
This marks the fourth time that Tidey has been named Hornet of the Week by the ALC.
The women's basketball team returns to play on Wednesday, Feb. 6 when it travels to Olivet for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff.
