ALMA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team dropped its first game of the new year as the Hornets fell at Alma 71-41.
The game opened with the Hornets and Scots trading baskets as Kalamazoo obtained a 7-6 lead just under three minutes in. An Alma three-pointer on the following possession gave the Scots the lead and they did not look back holding that lead for the remainder of the game.
Kalamazoo finished the game shooting 14-for-57 (24.6%) and connected on four of 18 three-point attempts.
Kaytlyn Tidey led the team with 18 points on six of 17 shooting.
Isabelle Clark added 10 points of her own.
Georgie Andrews secured a team-high 10 rebounds while scoring four points.
The Hornets return to play on Wednesday, Jan. 8 when they host Hope College at 7:30 p.m.
