Women's Basketball Falls to Albion

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 80-47 to Albion at home on Saturday.

There were two lead changes in the first quarter before the first 10 minutes ended with a 13-13 tie. 

It was 21-21 with 7:36 left in the second quarter when Albion went on a 9-0 run to build some separation between the two teams. Albion led by as many as 14 in the quarter before taking a 37-26 lead into halftime.

The visiting Britons were able to add to their lead in each of the third and fourth quarters leading up to the 80-47 final.

Albion shot 38.7 percent overall compared to 26.6 percent for Kalamazoo. The Hornets held a 51-49 edge in rebounds including 21-20 on the offensive end.

Isabelle Clark led Kalamazoo with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Sierra Fraser finished with eight points and 10 rebounds. Juanita Ledesma also scored eight points while Darby Scott finished with six.

Kalamazoo is back in action Wednesday, Feb. 12 at Calvin.
