Women's Basketball Defeated by Hiram

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team was defeated 59-41 by Hiram College Wednesday night inside the Anderson Athletic Center.

Hiram led 34-15 at halftime and 54-26 after three quarters. Kalamazoo outscored Hiram 15-5 in the fourth quarter.

Hiram shot 33.8 percent overall in the game compared to 30.9 percent by Kalamazoo. Hiram held a 44-42 edge in rebounds, including 13-9 on the offensive end.

Laila Vincent led the Hornets with 10 points and four rebounds in 21 minutes off the bench.

Kaelyn Arlington added nine points with 11 rebounds and two blocked shots.

Jaelyn Horn scored five points with four rebounds. Jackie Brines scored four points with nine rebounds. Kylah Davis finished with four points and two rebounds.

Kalamazoo returns to conference play on Saturday, Dec. 10, when the Hornets host Hope College at 3 p.m.
