Women's Basketball Wins at Dominican (Ill.)

RIVER FOREST, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team won its season straight game, 68-49 at Dominican University on Tuesday afternoon.

Kalamazoo led 13-12 after a back-and-forth first quarter. The Hornets pulled ahead 30-22 at halftime.

Kalamazoo led by six (34-28) with 6:11 left in the third before going on a 17-2 run to end the quarter up 51-30.

Kalamazoo shot 40.3 percent overall while making 4-of-16 three-pointers and 14-of-18 free throws. Dominican shot 27.3 percent overall, went 0-for-16 from three-point range, and made 13-of-24 free throws. Kalamazoo held a 50-39 advantage in rebounds.

Ruby Hogan posted her second consecutive double-double with 16 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists. 

Kaelyn Arlington recorded her second conecutive double-double (12th overall) with 15 points and 16 rebounds.

Jordan Wesaw finished with 10 points on 3-of-4 shooting and 4-of-5 free throws.

Sara English added eight points with four assists.

The Hornets take a short break from competition before returning to action against Endicott in Daytona Beach, Fla., on Dec. 27.
