The Kalamazoo College women's golf team honored graduating senior Erin Perkins at the conclusion of the spring 2021 season. Following is what was read during the ceremony:
Erin is a three-year starter for our Women's Golf team. Erin is from Vicksburg and will be graduating with a degree in Political Science.
Erin competed in 29 events during her career at Kalamazoo College and was up for the sportsmanship award this year in our conference. She is well respected by her peers and coaches that have had the opportunity to coach her as well as compete against her. Erin always brought a big smile to practice and competitions and worked hard to get better each and every day. Her commitment to the program and her desire to improve, set a great example for our younger players and she will be missed going forward!
Outside of golf, Erin took part in our Laughlin Links program where she would volunteer her time to work with kids at Woodward Elementary teaching golf and life skills.
Erin plans to take a gap year prior to continuing her education in the law field following her time here at Kalamazoo College. From current to past coaches, we wish Erin nothing but the best in her future endeavors and know she will be successful in anything she does!
