ADRIAN, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team dropped a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) contest Tuesday, April 8 falling 25-9 at Adrian College.
Freshman Anika Sproull led Kalamazoo scoring three goals on five shots. Freshmen Nicole Huff and Alivia DuQuet each added two goals.
Kalamazoo was outshot 38-18 in the contest. Adrian also held an advantage in ground balls (20-13) and draw controls (25-10). The Hornets did convert 8-14 clear attempts.
"Our team learned a lot tonight," Kalamazoo Head Coach Emilia Ward said. "After a tough first half, the girls continued to fight and had a strong effort in the second half."
Kalamazoo dips to 3-6 on the season and 1-2 in MIAA play. The Hornets play again April 14 at home against Defiance (Ohio). The game is slated to start at 7:00 p.m.
