Women's Lacrosse defeated at Albion

ALBION, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team lost 21-5 at Albion College in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play on Tuesday.

Freshman Nicole Huff scored two goals for Kalamazoo while senior Holly Cooperrider, freshman Anna Dairaghi, and freshman Cecilia DeFranco each scored once.

The Hornets found themselves in a 7-0 hole 12 minutes into the contest.

The game was played cleanly by both teams give Albion had just six turnovers in the game while K had seven and only a single turnover in the final 30 minutes. Both teams also successfully cleared eight times with the Britons going a perfect 8-8 and Kalamazoo 8-9.

Kalamazoo dips to 5-8 on the season with the loss and 2-4 in MIAA play. The Hornets will play their final two games at home April 26 against Calvin and April 27 against Olivet.
