KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College Athletic Leadership Council announced on Tuesday that Rachel Madar of the women's lacrosse team was named Hornet of the Week.
Madar, a sophomore from DeWitt, Mich. (DeWitt HS), began the season on Sunday with four goals and two assists in Kalamazoo's 14-12 loss to Carthage.
The midfielder also had a game-high 11 draw controls and collected three ground balls.
Madar led the Hornets in goals (72) and points (79) during her freshman All-MIAA season. She averaged 4.8 goals per game.
The women's lacrosse team will return to action on Wednesday, March 6 when it hosts Indiana Tech.
