Lilly Baumann was named MIAA Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.
A sophomore from Exton, Pa. (Downingtown Stem Academy), Baumann was recognized for her efforts in Kalamazoo's 17-8 home win over Aquinas College on Saturday.
Baumann scored a goal while recording nine draw controls, six caused turnovers, and five ground balls in the win.
"Lilly was strong on attack, throughout the midfield on the draw and in transition, and defensively in the win," said Head Coach Jess Smith.
Kalamazoo (1-1) is scheduled to host Indiana Tech on Wednesday, March 6 at 7 p.m.
