Women's Lacrosse Falls to Indiana Tech

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse fell 11-10 to Indiana Tech on Wednesday evening. 

The two teams traded goals for much of the first half as neither team obtained more than a two goal lead and played to a 5-5 tie at the break. 

The Hornets came out in the second half and scored the first three goals to gain an 8-5 advantage. Indiana Tech went on a run of their own shortly after to tie the game at eight. 

The Warriors scored their 11th and final goal with just over seven minutes to play in the contest and Kalamazoo was unable to equalize. 

Kalamazoo had the edge in draw controls at 14-9 and ground balls at 29-21. The Hornets also outshot the Warriors 37-23.

Amanda Moss led Kalamazoo in scoring with four goals. The senior also collected two ground balls and three draw controls. 

Rachel Madar scored three goals of her own while picking up team highs in draw controls with eight and ground balls with six. 

Kalamazoo will return to play on Saturday, March 23 against Illinois Wesleyan.
