Women's Lacrosse Beats Trine

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse defeated Trine 14-7 Saturday afternoon.

The Hornets scored the first seven goals of the contest before Trine got on the board with just over four minutes left in the first half. Four more goals for Kalamazoo to end the half gave it an 11-1 lead. 

After trading two goals each to begin the second half, Kalamazoo got its 14th and final goal with 3:30 left to secure a 14-7 victory. 

Kalamazoo held a 39-21 advantage in shots while getting 29 of them on goal. The Hornets collected 25 ground balls compared to Trine's 23. 

Rachel Madar added six goals to her season total while collecting seven draw controls. 

Rose Bogard and Amanda Moss each added two goals. Lilly Baumann with one goal and two assists.

The Hornets return home on Thursday, April 25 to host Olivet at 7 p.m.
