MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team was defeated 13-12 at Pfeiffer University Monday evening.
The Hornets led 9-7 at half, but Pfeiffer outscored Kalamazoo 6-1 in the third. The Hornets added two goals in the fourth but came up just short in the comeback attempt.
Kalamazoo outshot Pfeiffer 32-26, including 26-19 on goal.
Rose Bogard led the Hornets with five goals.
Hannah Heeren and Sydney Myszenski each scored three goals with an assist.
Jordan Flink was credited with six saves in goal.
The Hornets are scheduled to play again Wednesday, March 23 at Guilford.
