Women's Lacrosse Wins Regular Season Finale 19-2 at Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team won 19-2 in the regular season finale at Adrian on Saturday.

Kalamazoo led 5-0 after the first quarter and 10-0 with 9:03 left in the second. Adrian scored with 6:47 left in the second and again with 1:58 on the clock making it an 11-2 game at halftime.

Kalamazoo added five goals in the third and three in the fourth for the 19-2 final.

Kalamazoo outshot Adrian 29-7 overall, 24-4 on goal. The Hornets won 17 of the 23 draw controls.

Hannah Heeren scored four goals with four assists, five draw controls, five ground balls and five caused turnovers.

Tessa Fuller also scored four goals with four assists.

Ella Spooner scored three goals with an assist and six draw controls.

Sophie Hartl scored two goals with an assist and four draw controls and four ground balls. Natalie Maki and Jordan Doyle also had two goals and an assist.

Eden Schnurstein and Julia Kozal each had a goal and an assist.

Jordan Flink was credited with two saves in goal in the win.

Kalamazoo finished the regular season in a tie for second place with Trine. By defeating Trine last week, Kalamazoo holds the tie breaker and should be the No. 2 seed in next week's MIAA Tournament. The schedule and official pairings will be updated on the schedule once released by the MIAA.
