The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced its women's soccer All-League teams Wednesday afternoon and four members of the Kalamazoo College women's soccer team were honored for their efforts throughout the 2015 season.

Allie Brodsky and Madison Moote were each selected to the All-MIAA First Team while Grace Smith and Christina Dandar were picked for the All-MIAA Second Team.

Brodsky, who was also named to the First Team in 2014, started and played in all 20 games in 2015 for the Hornets on either the backline or in the center of the park. Throughout the season, the junior from West Bloomfield, Mich. recorded three assists and added the game-winning goal in a home match against Hope.

"Allie's ball winning and defending really helped us to control the midfield in numerous matches this season," Kalamazoo Head Coach Bryan Goyings said. "She also scored a great goal in the league play and had several precise assists which led to goals."

Moote, who is making her first appearance on the All-MIAA First Team after being selected to the Second Team in 2014, proved to be a driving force for the Hornets in the attacking third this season. Her eight goals and two assists this season gave her a total of 18 points, 11 more than the next closest Hornet. Moote also finished the season with the sixth-most goals scored of all players in the conference.

"She possesses the talent and ability to score goals in a number of ways, whether it is dribbling at an opponent, battling for balls on a set piece, or making a well-timed run behind the defense," Goyings said of Moote.

Smith stepped in nicely for the Hornets at the goalkeeper position in 2015 after the Hornets lost All-Region goalkeeper Lucy Mailing to graduation a year ago. A local product from Hacket Catholic Central, Smith recorded eight clean sheets during the 2015 season and made the third-most saves (107) in the MIAA. She ended the year with a save percentage of .799.

"Grace did not play one minute last season and it is a testament to her work ethic to see her recognized as one of the top goalkeepers in the conference," Goyings said. "There were several instances this season where she made timely saves to keep us in a match or preserve a win."

Dandar is being honored for the first time in her collegiate career as an All-MIAA selection and her play on the Hornets' backline was some of the most consistent play all year. Holding down the left side of the field at left back, the sophomore from Warren Township, Mich. started all 20 matches for the Hornets this season. She also found her way onto the score sheet multiple times throughout the season recording two goals and two assists, including a game-winning goal at Trine.

"Christina is a competitior and one of the league's most consistent individual defenders," Goyings said. "She presents a major obstacle for opponents that are looking to attack down her side of the field."

Kalamazoo ended its season with an overall record of 9-9-2 and a conference record of 9-5-2. The team will lose no players to graduation heading into the 2016 season.
