WHEATON, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team won 1-0 at No. 15 Wheaton College Saturday night.

Despite being outshot 26-3 (9-1 on goal) by Wheaton, Sarah George's shot on goal in the 72nd minute went over the goalkeeper in the right corner for the only score of the contest.

Joy Hunziker played the ball back to George who chipped it in over the keeper's outstretched arms.

Hannah Wolfe made nine saves in goal to earn the shutout over the previously unbeaten Thunder (3-1).

Coach Bryan Goyings said, "Wheaton was a very strong opponent, they really had us on our heels in the first half. I thought we responded well in the second half. Hannah Wolfe had some fantastic saves and Sarah George's goal was outstanding."

Kalamazoo (3-2) returns to action Wednesday, Sept. 12 at Concordia-Chicago.
