KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer fell to No. 13 Hope College on Wednesday night by a score of 2-0.

Following a scoreless 33 minutes, Hope's Sarah Mikesell broke the tie with a goal from Hilary Curry's assist. Hope got another goal in the 58th minute Morgan Buursma to seal the victory.

Both teams had plenty of scoring opportunities as the Hornets delivered 10 shots with five on them being on net.

Sophomore goalie Hannah Wolfe added eight saves to her season total in the loss.

Coach Bryan Goyings said, "Certainly disappointed in the result, but I was proud of our effort as a team. I thought our best soccer was the last 20 minutes of the first half when we really created some excellent opportunities. Rest and recovery will be critical. Calvin on Saturday will be another very difficult MIAA contest."

The Hornets will continue their MIAA play as they head to Calvin College on Saturday, Sept. 29. The match with the Knights is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
