ANGOLA, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team defeated Trine University on Wednesday evening by a final score of 3-0.

Larkin O'Gorman got the Hornets on the board in the 44th minute to give Kalamazoo a 1-0 lead before the break.

Early in the second half, Rosella LoChirco doubled the Kalamazoo lead with a goal of her own off an assist from Alexis Petty

Libby Munoz tallied the third and final goal in the 55th minute as she connected on a Georgie Andrews assist to ice the game.

Kalamazoo outshot Trine 15-10 in the match and had nine shots on goal to Trine's five.

Hannah Wolfe collected five saves for the Hornets.

"Larkin had a tremendous individual effort to put us up 1-0 right before the half," said Coach Bryan Goyings. "To get two early goals to start the second half really allowed us to dictate the pace of the game. The ball-winning and defensive work of Julie Zabik, Emme DeConinck, and Rosella LoChirco in the midfield were a major factor throughout the match."

The Hornets return to play at home on Saturday, Oct. 12 when they host Adrian at 2:30 p.m.
