ALBION, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team improved its MIAA record to 3-1-1 following a 2-0 defeat of Albion on Tuesday evening.

The Hornets came out firing early in this contest as Libby Munoz scored the game's opening goal just 29 seconds in. Josie Sibley assisted on the play.

Just over 30 minutes later, Munoz connected on her second goal of the match to put Kalamazoo on top 2-0.

Both defenses played well in the second half as the two teams held each other scoreless.

The Brits outshot the Hornets 13-5 in the match, but both sides were able to get four shots on goal.

Hannah Wolfe tallied four saves in her sixth clean sheet of the season.

"The start was superb and the early goal really set the tone for the match," said coach Bryan Goyings. "Josie Sibley had some excellent contributions, not only on the assist on the first goal but also strong midfield play in the second half."

The Hornets return to action on Saturday, Oct. 19 when they play host to Saint Mary's for a Homecoming matchup that is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
