Women's Soccer Blanks Saint Mary's

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team topped Saint Mary's 4-0 in a match Saturday afternoon at MacKenzie Field. 

Rosella LoChirco got the scoring going in the 23rd minute for the Hornets as she found the back of the net off an assist from Joy Hunziker.

Sophomore Catie Stamper set-up Libby Munoz in the 31st minute to extend the Kalamazoo lead to 2-0. 

Maddie Odom connected on a diving header in the 44th minute to put the Hornets on top 3-0 before the break. Olivia Oswald assisted on the play. 

Munoz tallied the fourth and final goal just over 20 minutes into the second half. 

Kalamazoo outshot Saint Mary's 23-3 throughout the match as it prevented the Belles from getting a shot on goal while having 12 of its own. 

The Hornets return to play on Wednesday, Oct. 23 when they travel to Olivet for a match that is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
