Holly Bowling of the Kalamazoo College women's soccer team was selected to the All-MIAA Second Team as released by the conference on Tuesday (Nov. 2). The Hornets finished sixth in the MIAA, making it to the MIAA Tournament for the fifth consecutive season.

A junior from Byron Center, Mich. (Caledonia HS), this is Bowling's first selection to an all-conference team in her three-year career after starting in all 16 games. Bowling was the leading goal scorer for the Hornets, netting four on the season. One of those was a game-winner against Olivet on Oct. 8. Out of the 15 shots Bowling took on the year, 11 of them had a chance to score. Bowling has five goals and an assist for 11 points in 36 games in her career.

"Holly was one of our most consistent attackers throughout the season and played a key role in helping the team qualify for the MIAA tournament," said Head Coach Bryan Goyings. "She is a tireless worker and it was nice to see other MIAA coaches recognize her contributions this year with this honor."

The Hornets finished their season this past weekend in the MIAA Tournament against Hope, falling in double-overtime.
