Women's Swimming and Diving receives honors from CSCAA

The Kalamazoo College women's swimming and diving team earned the Scholar All-America Team Award Wednesday, July 16. The award, given out by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is given to a program who competed at the NCAA III Swimming and Diving Championships while holding a team grade point average of 3.0. As a team, Kalamazoo held a 3.18 grade point average.

As a team, Kalamazoo finished third at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Swimming and Diving Championships.

In addition, sophomore Lauren Seroka was named an Honorable Mention Scholar All-American. To qualify, student-athletes needed to achieve a 3.5 grade point average or better and have a "B" time or better in their respective event.

Seroka did not qualify for the NCAA III Championships but did win the MIAA title in the 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle and 1,650 freestyle.
