HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's swimming and diving team finished third at this week's MIAA Championships. Kalamazoo finished with 700 points, trailing only Calvin (783) and Hop;e (748).
Lauren Seroka won the 1650 freestyle for the third straight year with a time of 17:18.67 on Saturday. Seroka beat the nearest competitor by over 12 seconds with her NCAA "B" time.
Tristyn Edsall finished second in the finals of the 100 freestyle with a time of :52.26. She broke the school record in prelims with an NCAA "B" time of :52.02.
Colleen Orwin finished second in the 200 butterfly with a "B" time of 2:08.21, just .19 seconds out of first place.
The 400 free relay team (Hannah Olsen, Orwin, Seroka, Edsall) closed out the meet with a second place finish and school record time of 3:32.40.
UPDATED (9:00 pm): At the conclusion of the meet, Tristyn Edsall was named the 2015 MIAA Most Valuable Swimmer.
