Women's Swimming & Diving wins three events on Thursday

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's swimming and diving team is in third place after the second day of the four day MIAA Championships hosted by Calvin College.

Lauren Seroka was the first of three event winners for Kalamazoo on Thursday, taking first in the 500 freestyle for the fourth straight year (5:02.25). 

Colleen Orwin repeated as champion in the 200 IM with an NCAA "B" cut time of 2:04.08, breaking her own record in the event for the second time today. Her prelims time of 2:05.66 broke the record she set at last year's NCAA Championships.

Tristyn Edsall won the 50 freestyle for the third straight year with an NCAA "B" time of :23.61.

The 200 free relay team of Christina Park, Ellen Neveux, Janice Burnett and Edsall finished second with a "B" time of 1:35.86.

Madeline Woods finished second in the 3-meter diving event with a score of 439.25.
