Women's Swimmers break two MIAA records on Friday

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's swimming & diving team is in third place with one day remaining at the MIAA Championships hosted by Calvin. The Hornets have 518.5 points and trail Hope (526) and Calvin (554.5) for the lead.

Colleen Orwin broke school and MIAA records while winning the 400 IM with an NCAA "B" time of 4:22.79.

The 200 medley relay team of Christina Park, Ellen Neveux, Orwin and Tristyn Edsall also broke school and MIAA records with a winning time of 1:44.03.

Christina Park also won a championship in the 100 butterfly with a time of :57.77. She also finished third in the 100 backstroke with a school record time of :57.57.

In the 100 breaststroke Kalamazoo went 3-4-5 with Tristyn Edsall in third place with a time of 1:05.70.

Madeline Woods also finished third in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 410.50.
