Women's Swimming & Diving third at MIAA Championships

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's swimming and diving team finished third at the MIAA Championships hosted by Calvin this week. The Hornets trailed Hope by just 22.5 points for second and Calvin by 70 points for first.

Colleen Orwin was named MIAA Most Valuable Swimmer at the conclusion of the meet. The junior from Portage (Portage Northern) won the 200 butterfly on Saturday with a time of 2:03.94. She broke a school record during prelims with an NCAA "B" time of 2:03.73.

Lauren Seroka capped her career with a fourth consecutive championship in the 1650 freestyle with a "B" time of 17:23.94.

Tristyn Edsall finished third in the 100 freestyle (:52.49) while Molly Logsdon came in third in the 200 breaststroke (2:28.61).
