SAGINAW, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's swimming & diving team opened the season with a 143-88 loss at Saginaw Valley State University.
The Hornets picked up a couple wins in the final events including Madeline Woods' win in the 3-meter diving event (228.90).
The Hornets finished second in the 50 freestyle (Courtney McGinnis, :26.44), 1-meter diving (Madeline Woods, 210.00) and the 200 butterfly (Steph Rauhoff, 2:17.32).
Kalamazoo is scheduled to compete again on Oct. 27 in the MIAA Relays hosted by Calvin.
