Mary Trimble was named SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Women's Hornet of the Week on Tuesday. It is her fourth selection this season.
A senior from Dearborn, Mich. (Edsel B Ford HS), Trimble won two events in a home dual meet against Hope on Saturday, Feb. 5.
Trimble won the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:56.69, her fastest time of the season and the fourth-fastest time in the MIAA this year. She also won the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:11.80, her fastest time of the season and the third fastest in conference this season.
Trimble was also named MIAA Women's Swimmer of the Week on Monday.
The Hornets are preparing for the MIAA Championships scheduled for Feb. 16-19 at the Holland Aquatic Center.
