Kalamazoo College's Sabrina Dass was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Asscociation's Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday.
A freshman from Grand Blanc (Grand Blanc HS), Dass posted a 4-0 singles record and won all four of her doubles matches for the week as the Hornets won three out of four matches. She posted straight-set wins over Alma, 6-1, 6-0; Calvin, 6-2, 6-3, and Trine, 6-1, 6-3, and rallied from a first-set loss to defeat her opponent from Denison, Ohio, 3-6, 6-3, 7-5.
Dass is being honored as MIAA Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Kalamazoo (12-4, 6-0 MIAA) is ranked No. 9 in the Central Region. The Hornets host Albion College on Saturday, April 19 at 1 p.m.
