MADISON, Wis. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team won 8-1 over St. Catherine University at the Midwest Invitational on Saturday. Kalamazoo finishe 2-1 at the event.
Kalamazoo (11-5) entered the match ranked No. 10 in the region while St. Catherine (8-6) was ranked No. 18.
Kalamazoo swept the three doubles matches on Saturday before winning five of six singles matches.
Sarah Woods and Sabrina Dass won 8-6 at one doubles while Maria Franco and Olivia Bouchard won 8-5 at two. Cheryl Zhang and Carrie Foura won 8-4 at three doubles.
Woods won 6-0, 6-2 at one singles. Bouchard and Foura also win in straight sets at four and six singles. Dass won 7-6, 5-7, 10-2 at three while Zhang won 1-6, 6-4, 10-4 at five.
Kalamazoo's next match is against Hope at home next Saturday, April 11 at 1 p.m.
