GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team won 7-2 at Calvin College on Tuesday.
Kalamazoo held a 3-0 lead after winning all three doubles matches easily before clinching the match win with three straight singles victories.
Sarah Woods and Sabrina Dass won 8-0 at one doubles. Maria Franco and Olivia Bouchard won 8-2 at two doubles while Cheryl Zhang and Carrie Foura won 8-2 at three doubles.
Dass opened singles play with a 6-2, 6-1 win at three. Foura followed with a 6-0, 6-1 win at six while Bouchard won 6-4, 6-3 at four.
Woods picked up the last singles win for the Hornets 6-7(5), 6-0, 6-3 at one.
Kalamazoo (12-6, 5-1 MIAA) is off until April 22 when the Hornets host Saint Mary's at 4 p.m.
