The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team garnered honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) this week. The Hornets earned the All-Academic Team Award for the sixth consecutive year with a cumulative grade point average or 3.2 or above.
In addition to the team award, eight members of the 2015 team earned individual honors. Alexandria Oswalt, Carrie Foura, Cheryl Zhang, Elizabeth Tyburski, Katie Clark, Lexi Ambs, Maria Franco and Olivia Bouchard were named ITA Scholar Athletes. To earn this honor, individuals needed to achieve a 3.5 grade point average or better while also earning a varsity letter.
During the 2014-15 season, Kalamazoo finished second in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) and advanced to finals of the MIAA tournament.
