Women's Tennis Rallies to Beat Augustana

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team overcame a 4-2 deficit to defeat Augustana 5-4 inside the Markin Center on Sunday.

Kalamazoo trailed 2-1 after doubles and 4-2 after the first three singles matches were decided. The Hornets proceeded to win the last three singles matches to win the match 5-4.

Renee Torres and Sophie Zhuang won 8-5 at one doubles.

Torres also won 6-2, 6-4 at one singles.

Maddie Hurley kept the Hornets alive with a 0-6, 6-1, 7-5 win at four singles. Eleni Bougioukou tied the match at 4-4 with a 6-3, 6-1 at five singles. Ivy Walker clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-4 win at six singles.

Kalamazoo is back in action at home next Sunday, March 5, when the Hornets host Denison University at 10 a.m.
