ORLANDO, Fla. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team was defeated 7-2 by Whitworth College at the USTA National Campus on Wednesday.
Whitworth swept the three doubles matches before winning four of six singles matches.
Juliana Pullen won 4-6, 6-1, 10-7 at one singles for the Hornets. Maddie Hurley won 6-2, 6-4 at two singles.
Kalamazoo had close matches at four and six singles as well. Molly Stevison fell 6-3, 3-6, 10-6 at four. Soussana Kimbouris fell 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 at six.
Olivia Wolfe/Ivy Walker had the closest match in doubles, falling 8-4 at number two.
Kalamazoo returns home to host Calvin on Tuesday, April 2, at 4 p.m.
