Volleyball falls to Hope 3-0 on senior night

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team fell to top-ranked Hope College Tuesday, Oct. 29 by scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-11 at the Anderson Athletic Center.

Kalamazoo was led offensively by seniors Brittany Amor and Quinn McCormick with six kills each. Junior setter Alex Gothard dished out 13 assists while freshman libero Logan Horejsi added 13 digs. 

"Give Hope credit for coming to our house and playing well," Kalamazoo Head Coach Jeanne Hess said.

Hope was led by outside hitter Jenna Grasmeyer with 11 kills.

As a team, the story of the match was serve receive. The Flying Dutch serve forced 17 reception errors from the Hornets. 

Kalamazoo committed 15 service errors and killed 14 balls. Hope hit .295.

Kalamazoo honored three seniors playing their final match at the Anderson Athletic Center. McCormick, Amor, and Jessie Owens will play their final regular season match Friday, Nov. 1, when they travel to Calvin for a 7:00 p.m. match with the Knights.
