The Kalamazoo College volleyball team lost Wednesday night in four sets to Calvin College. The Hornets are now 5-3 this season.

Kalamazoo won the first set of the match 25-23, which was impressive considering Calvin came into the match having won 20 sets in a row.  After winning the first set the Hornets dropped the next three 25-14, 25-15, and 25-16. Kalamazoo definitely gave the defending national champions and No. 1 ranked Calvin a hard fought match.

Seniors Nya Greenstone and Kelsey Hill were bright spots for the Hornets offensively as they combined for 19 kills and senior Alex Gothard was fantastic with 24 assists. Sophomore Logan Horejsi had 13 digs and sophomore Dana DeVito had eight to help out Kalamazoo defensively.

Kalamazoo will look to get back on track Saturday, Sept 13th at the Wooster Kilt Classic in Wooster, Ohio where they'll take on Bluffton Univeristy and The College of Wooster.
